Roman Shklanka, B.Comm. Ph.D
Position: Chairman and Director

Dr. Shklanka is an explorationist with over 45 years of international experience in the mining industry which included positions as Chairman of Canico Resources Corp. (Onca-Puma laterite deposit, Brasil). Canico was purchased in 2005 by CVRD, now Vale, in a $940 million takeover. Sutton Resources Ltd. (Bulyanhulu deposit -- Tanzania),  which was acquired by Barrick Gold Corporation and Vice President of Exploration for Placer Dome. Dr. Shklanka was responsible for the acquisition and exploration of numerous mines, among them the Australian Granny Smith gold mine and Osbourne copper mine, as well as the Kidston gold mine-at that time the largest gold mine in Australia.

Currently, Dr. Shklanka is the chairman of Kobex Minerals Inc. (V.KXM) and Pacific Imperial Mines Inc. (V.PPM), two junior exploration companies in the process of locating significant projects for exploration and development. Aside from his success in identifying and developing major deposits around the world, he has extensive experience in negotiations, valuable asset when dealing with foreign governments. He is the recipient of a number of achievement awards and, in 2009, was inducted into the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame.


Mr. Leo King, M.A., P.Geo., P. Eng.
Position: President and Director

Mr. Leo King, P.Geo, P.Eng, has 47 years experience in minerals exploration and mining geology, including 20 years in senior executive positions. Past employment includes Vice President, Exploration for Sulpetro Minerals Ltd., Vice President, Exploration for Novamin Resources Ltd., Vice President, Exploration for Breakwater Resources Ltd. And Vice President, Exploration for Noramco Exploration Inc.. Mr. King was President and Director of both International Barytex Resources Ltd. And Kobex Resources Ltd. until retiring in September 2009 when the two companies amalgamated to form Kobex Minerals Inc. Currently he is a Director of Minefinders Corporation Ltd., Director of Gold Mountain Mining Corp. and President of Pacific Imperial Mines Inc.. During his career, Mr. King has managed exploration and development programs for base metals, gold, silver, tin and tungsten projects in Canada and internationally and has extensive experience in mineral prospect evaluation and property acquisition.

Mr. King is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario, a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia, a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a Fellow of the Geological Association of Canada. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Geology from the University of Saskatchewan.  


Mr. Albert Wu
Position: CFO – Chef Finance Office

Mr. Wu is a Certified Management Accountant and he received his Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1969 and his MBA in 1971 from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.  In the last thirty years, Mr. Wu has been working with various public companies in providing accounting and management services on contract basis. Mr. Wu is currently the Chief Financial Officer of First Bauxite Corporation, Stronghold Metals Inc., Prospector Resources Inc., Mountain-West Resources Inc., and Pacific Imperial Mines Inc., all of which are public companies listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. 


Mr. Licurgo Albuquerque
Position: Director of Acquisition & Corporate Development

Mr. Albuquerque is originally from Brazil and based in Vancouver since 1997. His professional background includes Civil Engineering and Geology. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Universidade de Pernambuco – UPE and earned a Certified International Trade professional designation (C.I.T.P) in Canada in 2001 which has added significant value to his career.

As an entrepreneur and International Trade Professional, Mr. Albuquerque specializes in Business Development as well as Project Management. His business development portfolio includes companies such as Thermotech Technologies, Golden Coast Hotel Development, Brazil Stone International and Canada Stone Inc.

Mr. Albuquerque was nominated by Banque de Développement des Entreprises du Canada (BDC) and was the recipient of the 2007 BC New Canadian Entrepreneur Award from the Ethno Business Council of British Columbia.

In 2009 he was appointed by the Consulate General of Brazil in Vancouver to be a member of the Brazilian Citizen Council representing the Brazilian business community in British Columbia.

Mr. Albuquerque has recently been appointed Director of Acquisitions and Corporate Development for Pacific Imperial Mines Inc. His extensive experience in Business Development and International Trade will be of great value in his new position as Pacific Imperial Mines seeks opportunities in mineral resource development in Brazil.


Mr. Geir Liland
Position: Director

Mr. Geir Liland, brings over 25 years of corporate finance, accounting and management experience to Pacific Imperial Mines Inc.. In 1982 after working for a number of accounting firms and public companies, Mr. Liland joined the TSX Venture Exchange, formerly the CDNX and Vancouver Stock Exchange. From November 1999 until August 2002 Mr. Liland held the position of Vice President, Corporate Finance (Vancouver). During this period Mr. Liland was involved in policy streamlining, member firm corporate finance review and was also a member of the Exchange's Executive Listings Committee. Currently Mr. Liland is a business consultant and a director of several public companies. Mr. Liland's understanding of corporate governance and his experience with the junior market is a major asset to Pacific Imperial Mines Inc.


Ms. Chelsia Cheam

Position: Corporate Secretary

Ms. Cheam, Corporate Secretary of Pacific Imperial Mines Inc., has extensive experience as Corporate Secretary for several public companies including International Barytex Resources Ltd. and Kobex Resources Ltd.
